TEMPORARY PERMITS
The Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom.  It is a separate jurisdiction with its own legal system.  Shotguns and airguns are regulated separately from rifles and pistols and firearms law still permits the holding of cartridge pistols.

Visitors to the Island require temporary permits for all guns and cartridge ammunition, including shotguns and air rifles/pistols.

Application forms for temporary visitors' permits will be made available with the Final Entry forms.

CARRIAGE OF FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION ON AIRCRAFT AND FERRIES
Details here.

HANDLING AND STORAGE OF FIREARMS
All firearms (including airguns) will be stored in a central armoury.  They will be collected from you at your port of entry.  The Police will not permit firearms or ammunition to be retained at your hotel.

Detailed arrangements will be announced nearer the Championships.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Isle of Man Shooting Council accepts no responsibility, financial or otherwise, for the cancellation of events or changes to the programme.  Council will make all reasonable effort to deliver the published programme but in the event of entries not justifying the running of certain events or for any other reason changes to the programme are necessitated, neither the Isle of Man Shooting Council nor its constituent members will be responsible for any loss.

'NO-SHOWS'
Competitors who have entered but do not show up for events will be charged for any consequential cost incurred by the organisers in making preparation for them to compete.  Where an individual has paid money for entry fees or similar and seeks a refund, Council will make such refund less any cost Council has incurred, and cannot itself avoid, in making preparation for the individual to compete.
